If this message appears when you click the "Capture Guide" or "Capture Dub" button in your VocALign ARA plug-in:
VocALign could not do this because...
It points to an issue with the ARA plugin not seeing the audio that you want to capture.
That can be because the ARA plugin wasn't added to the track or region/event (depending on how your specific digital audio workstation uses ARA), or it can be because of a region/event selection problem.
The most common errors are:
7507: No Guide is selected in VocAlign when clicking the Dub capture button.
Capture a Guide into the plugin if you don't already have one, and make sure that it's selected/highlighted in the plugin.
8002: No compatible Dub region was selected in the timeline when the Dub Capture button was clicked.
In some Digital Audio Workstations, the kind of region that is selected can cause this error.
In Logic for example, ARA plugins can't see Comp/Take folders, Flex regions, or Apple Loops.
in that case, the incompatible regions needs to be Bounced in place to convert them into compatible plain audio regions.
Some digital audio workstations (like Logic) also need you to play audio before the ARA plugin can see/capture the regions - if you've just added a new audio region but haven't played back, playing/stopping audio with Logic's transport should resolve the issue.
8003: Identical to the 8002 Dub error, but appears when the Guide button is clicked.
