In some rare troubleshooting situations, or when fully uninstalling a plug-in beyond just removing the plug-in files, you may need to manually delete its preferences and presets.
macOS:
Use Command + Shift + G in the Finder to open the "Go to Folder" dialog. You can paste in any path below to navigate directly.
Paths starting with ~
refer to your user directory (e.g., ~/Library
= /Users/YourName/Library
).
Presets and recently used settings:
~/Library/Application Support/SynchroArts
- each piece of software will have its' own directory here.
Preferences:
~/Library/Preferences
Preference files are named by publisher and plug-in name. For example, RePitch might store:
com.synchroarts.RePitch.plist
com.synchroarts.RePitchAAX.plist
com.synchroarts.RePitchAU.plist
com.synchroarts.RePitchVST3.plist
Windows:
Presets and Recently Used Settings:
%AppData%\SynchroArts\
- You can paste this path directly into File Explorer’s address bar.
- each piece of software will have its' own directory here.
Preferences (Registry):
Open the Registry Editor app and navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
Look for plug-in settings under one or more of the following keys:
Synchro Arts
SynchroArts
SynchroArts Ltd
The specific key used may vary depending on the plug-in version.
